More than 25,000 older black and minority ethnic (BME) people live with dementia in the UK. For some people, the experience of what it means to live with dementia will is unfamiliar and erroneously proscribed to some form of religious punishment or ‘iniquities of the fathers been visited’ on the current generation.

This should be an interesting session for me particularly because I care for my mum who has dementia. I have been doing some study (not enough) on the underlying causes and the prevention of dementia.
This is a very horrible disease or illness depending on how one wishes to categorise it.
